There is a variety of ways for you to get involved with TechNews. Given the amount of material TechNews has to cover, both on and off campus, we can always use more writers and photographers, and we pay for most submissions.
If you're interested, contact us with any questions or suggestions you may have. Our Writers' meetings are on Sunday evenings, so feel free to stop by one and meet our staff, ask questions, offer article ideas or get guidance in person.
If writing isn't your strong suit but you still want to get involved on campus, there's plenty to do.
Want to bring more fun events to campus, or just be involved in helping in event programming? Try Union Board (UB), which sponsors and programs more than 100 events on campus every academic year. Whether it's as big as Homecoming Week or as small as discounted tickets to see the Blue Man Group, Union Board are the masterminds.
Want to represent the student body and make a difference on campus? Try the Student Government Association (SGA), which works with both the students of IIT and the university's administration to give students a voice in school policy. Whether it's getting Galvin Library open around the clock or publicly releasing professor evaluations to the student body, SGA affects real change at our university.
IIT has over 100 student organizations, all representing a wide variety of interests and causes. Check out the full list and see if there are any that interest you.
