Pool Record Set by Hawks Relay

Saturday, February 4th, 2012 Senior Jeff Reilly had an excellent meet on both the 1 meter and 3 meter boards for diving finished 2nd on both boards with scores of 224.50 and 235.10 respectively. Both scores were personal lifetime bests and were just short of National Qualifying scores. Freshman Dane Christianson came in 3rd on the 1 meter board with a score of 163.10, also a personal best.
In the 100 meter butterfly Bodzay finished 2nd for the men’s team (59.83) and junior Matthew Rosenfeld finished 5th (1:09.30), while senior Melanie Koto finished 2nd in the women’s 100 meter freestyle (1:04.89) and freshman Billy Bafia finished 4th in the men’s event (59.72) and senior Dylan Maus finished 5th (59.98). Tejero took another 1st in the 100 meter backstroke finishing with a time of 1:00.01 and Gryniv took 5th in the event (1:20.56). Maze finished 2nd in the women’s 400 meter freestyle (5:30.68), while Grunden took 1st in the men’s event with a time of 4:25.53. Senior Julia Duarte took 2nd in the women’s 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:22.38, while freshman Matt O’Rourke took 2nd in the men’s event (1:15.88) and Pruzansky (3rd, 1:16.87) and Rosenfeld (5th, 1:25.37) also scored for the Hawks. In the final event of the meet the women’s 200 meter freestyle relay (Zuniga, Curran, Koto and Duarte) took 2nd (2:01.25) while the men’s team of Grunden, Chojnacki, Bergh and Ramminger took 2nd (1:40.60) and the team of Tapak, Maus, Gryniv and Bodzay took 4th with a time of 1:48.95.
The team’s final meet of the regular season will be at home on Friday, February 10th, so be sure to come out to Keating to cheer on your Hawks!
