Autumn days are here again

Autumn is one of the four major seasons, which is termed as fall in many countries. Autumn symbolizes the change from summer to winter outside of the tropics. It is the time of year when the length of daylight is dramatically reduced, and the temperature drops significantly. As the season passes, the day duration falls, and the night length rises until the winter solstice in December. The dramatic shift in color of deciduous trees' leaves as they prepare to shed their leaves is one of its primary features in temperate regions. Autumn is associated with crop harvesting in European languages; in many civilizations, autumn, like the other seasons, has been celebrated with rituals and celebrations centered on the season's role in food production. Autumn symbolizes the preservation of life and its elements. Animals prepare for the winter by conserving food and establishing comfortable hibernation chambers at this time. Farmers accumulate a reserve of crops in preparation of winter with their fall harvest. We also prefer to withdraw indoors and concentrate on creating a secure and comfortable environment. To avoid the colder weather, many birds fly to the Equator. Formerly known as "Indian Summer" or "Old Women's Summer" in some parts of Europe, periods of abnormally warm weather that occur well into the autumn season are not uncommon in the central and eastern United States and Europe. 

Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina is the place to go if you want to witness fall in all its glory. Colors peak along the Blue Ridge Parkway in October, usually in the final part of the month. Autumn is a component of the jam-packed holiday season when it comes to holidays. Before winter and Christmas, there's the back-to-school rush, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. And these aren't your ordinary vacations. These are all highly active, family-oriented vacations.
