I would like to start this piece with the quote “Loneliness allows your soul room to grow” - Janet Fitch. Loneliness is a feeling of being alone or feeling sad about it. So when we're lonely we sit and listen to sad music. During this period we may feel distant from others and rejected, which implies that we believe that whatever the other person is telling us is working against us. When I'm lonely I'm continuously exhausted, it's difficult for me to complete any job, and I'm so distracted that I can't concentrate on anything. When I'm lonely, I tend to overeat and acquire a lot of weight. So these are the things that happen to me.
What can I do to overcome these obstacles? First and foremost, I have avoided using my electronic devices, particularly social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Many things can make me have more gloomy thoughts and make me anxious. Especially those depressing Instagram quotes that will bring me down. As a result, refrain from interacting with social media profiles. All I do is go for a walk and admire the tiny things that I observe in nature, such as those gorgeous blossomed flowers, greenery around me, and sunrise or sunset depending on the time. Sunsets, in particular, delight me. So, here I am avoiding negative self-talk. When we are alone, we are more prone to self-talk, and it is most likely negative thoughts that are flowing through our heads.
Next, because I enjoy singing and painting, I would start listening to random songs and singing along, even if I didn't understand the lyrics. There won't be any second thoughts racing through my mind when I'm listening to a song. The next option is painting. I am not an artist, but I can draw and paint fairly. So, I would start sketching. At first, I might not enjoy the art I'm making — perhaps I've made a mistake somewhere, and I'll lose hope and quit doing it. But I'm going to think to myself that I'm not going to give up on my drawing until I finish it. There will be no thoughts racing through my mind while I become immersed in my work. I focus on my work and complete it. I'll be fresh by the time I'm done, and I'll have a wonderful piece of art in my hands. That sensation is just lovely.
So, now and again, I play badminton, my favorite sport. This is the third idea that comes to mind when I'm lonely. There is nothing else I can think about while I'm playing except the shuttlecock that is about to strike my face if I don't attempt to hit it. As a result, my brain becomes stimulated, decreasing the feeling of loneliness, and I begin to feel better.
This is a list of the few things I do. Others may have various hobbies and interests, but I generally advise you to avoid using gadgets when you are lonely, such as watching a series or anything similar, and instead try to get outside. Not only may we focus on our mental health, but we can also focus on our physical health.
