IIT A Capella put on their end-of-semester performance at the Hermann Hall Auditorium on November 16, 2018 at 8 p.m. This was a culmination of the efforts of all the groups that performed for the entire semester.

The emcees were Marcos Mercado (vice president [VP] of Operations and part of the TechTonics) and Mary Leversen (VP of Public Relations and part of the X-Chromotones). They played their part well and kept the show going through the whole evening providing smooth transitions between performances. The first performance for the evening was by the X-Chromotones, the all-female a capella group on campus. They are headed by their director, Keara Rigg. The girls sang three songs, "A Thousand Miles" (soloist – Maddy Urig), "What I Did For Love" (soloist – Keara Rigg), and the "Pitch Perfect" medley of "Just a Dream" and "Just the Way You Are" (soloists – Emily Barnett and Maddy Urig). Decked in their concert color, purple, they were definitely a sight to see!

The second performance for the evening was by the Z-Minors, a group headed by Marcos Mercado and consisting of Grace Wischmeyer, Myka Chang, Jon Olivera, Erik Anderson, and Mercado himself. The Z-Minors performed three songs, "Havana," "Dancing on My Own," and "Run To You." Comprised of only members of the TechTonics this semester, they have had a few changes in their members from the previous terms.

The third performance was by the TechTonics, the co-ed a capella group. They are headed by their director, Grace Wischmeyer. The Techs sang "Time and I" (soloist- Katia Flores), "Praying" (soloists- Myka Chang, Marcos Mercado, Khadija Muhammad, Jon Olivera), "Cake By the Ocean" (soloist – Liz Wolf), and "Pure Imagination." The Techs were all wearing their concert color, green and they lit up the stage the moment they walked in.

The last performance of the evening was a group song by the Techs and the Chromotones where they performed the Pentatonix version of "Stay x The Middle." The soloists for this final performance were Katja Berthold, Kate Gragg, and Somya Mittal. Refreshments were served after the event and during the intermission which took place after the second performance. The entire event lasted less than two hours and was well appreciated by everyone that had come down to support IIT A Capella. To those of you who did come, thank you so much for your support! For those that didn’t, we hope to see you next semester as we perform for you once again!
