Dan Gable was a competitor like no other. As a high school wrestler in Iowa, he was the undefeated state champion for three years, with a record of 64-0. His collegiate career was even more impressive, with a record of 118-1, his only loss being in theNCAA finals during his senior year. That loss made him even more determined to be the best in the world. He became a world champion in 1971. The next year, he became an Olympic gold medalist, without surrendering a single point to an opponent at the Munich Games.

You tipped generously at the Bog and Rocky’s Sports Bar, ate Fabio Buffa’s famous spaghetti at the Delt’s house, bought gourmet baked goods and Krispy Kreme donuts.

I joined FB because I did not know how the board came about their decisions and figured there must have been some sort of bias or spiteful thinking during their closed sessions, after which their highly anticipated funding decision letters became the make it or break it for student organizations.

    Day 9 (continued)June 9th, 2007 Dublin/London
On the Ryanair flight to London Stansted Airport, we met two Irish guys who mistook Jake for a Canadian. They gave us both a beer (Ryanair even charges for water) and said they buy beer in the duty free shops to snub Ryanair for charging so much. The flight from Dublin to London was magnificent.
